Poliert

The lamp is supplied in polished brass and laquered (treated with zapon laquer) wich preserves the shine. The metal should only be wiped with a dry cloth. Under no circumstances may cleaning agents be used.

Cleaning the glass lampshades:
When the glass lampshades are cleaned, they must always first be removed from the lamps.
Chrom

Chrome-plating the brass gives the surface an exquisitely beautiful shine. The metal surface should be cleaned only with a dry cloth and the occasional use of standard chrome care products.

Berliner Messing

This is a patina that is stained into the brass by an intricate process based on traditional methods, rather than applying it as laquer. This patina is less sensitive than other surfaces finishes and easy to look after. The metal surfaces may only be cleaned by wiping them carefully with a dry cloth - cleansing agents must not be used under any circumstances.

Antik

This patina is also stained into the brass and not laquered. It can hardly be distinguished from the original patina of antique lamps. The metal surfaces should be cleaned by wiping them carefully with a dry cloth. Under no circumstances may cleansing agents be used. To obtain a light shine, the metal parts can be wiped carefully with a little olive oil.

Nickel matt

Nickel gives the brass a beautiful matt silver shine. This surface is brushed after nickelplating and then laquered for protection. The lamp must only be cleaned by carefully wiping it with a soft cloth. Cleansing agents must not be used under any circumstances.
